The Builders’ Association of India, Mysuru Centre came into existence on 11th October, 1987. Our former prime minister and the then PWD minister, Govt of Karnataka, Sri. H D  Devegowda inaugurated Mysuru BAI chapter with Sri. Late A V Hampe Urs as the founder chairman. BAI’s vision is to promote and foster feelings of unity, co-operation, mutual trust and to eliminate unhealthy competition amongst the contractors and the builders. From just a handful of members, today Mysuru BAI chapter has over 200 plus members. BAI’s presence has been appreciated by the people of Mysuru and the members of the real estate industry.

Mysore Builders’ Charitable Trust (MBCT) was formed and registered in 2004 with the past Chairman of BAI and the incumbent Chairman and Secretary of BAI as its trustees. The trust has a number of noble objectives including training programmes for masons, painters and other artisans connected with the construction industry in addition to creating social awareness on several public issues. It works towards the welfare of construction workers and their families . A full fledged training centre has been imparting skill upgradation to the construction workers. Additionally a regular dispensary has been setup to take care of the health needs of the families of construction workers. Under the ambit of MBCT, skill development programs have been planned in collaboration with Construction Industry Development Council of India (CIDC).

Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Associations of India (CREDAI) was established in 1999 with a mandate to pursue the cause of housing and habitat providers, share the latest industry data, technological advancements and benchmarks among its members. It has grown its membership base since then and has more than 12500 members today spread across 21 states and 204 city chapters. Affiliated to CREDAI Karnataka, CREDAI Mysuru addresses the district level problems pertaining to real estate development and shares industry related information to resolve any concerns regarding the same.
